12-step programmes?

Postby Tarantula » Fri Dec 29, 2017 10:59 am

Hi

I was wondering if anyone on this forum has experience with any 12-step recovery programme. I'm aware of what they are, have been to a few meetings myself over the last few years, and am currently reading Russell Brand's book about it.

I'm not addicted to any substance, but agree with him that our definition of addiction needs to broaden to include all sorts of other things - phone use, social media, unhealthy relationship patterns (check!!), eating problems, skin picking... and so on.

I really think there might be something helpful in there for me, and wanted to know what others think.

Sounds interesting. I quite fancy reading his book, I have heard some good reviews about it.
