Work and Christmas Day

Hello All,

Question for you, might sound stupid but just wanted to know for Sure :)

I work in Sainsburys and i work on a Monday and a Saturday, Christmas Day falls on a Sat this year so the shop will be closed, does this mean i wont get paid for this day?

Hi Lacey,

It depends what Sainsburys policy is.

I would expect you will NOT get paid for it. But hopefully you'll get paid extra time the following Monday as it's a bank holiday.

Hay. My mate is a manager in sainsburys and she said you won't get paid for it. Not sure about over time on the bank holiday x
