Scottish power may well be cheaper per unit of energy you use yet they may hav extra hidden charges. I was on the bus home late one night and there was a drunk sales rep from some power company and he was saying whoever it was he worked for they charged "cheaper" per unit, yet they had loads of extra hidden costs.

Whenever I have moved house,I have always asked for the meters to be put in,so you only pay for what you use.You just get a card/key and put money on it at the paypoint.We use about £15-£20 a week gas and £5-10 electric in the winter and much less in the summer and thats with a 3 bed house lights always on,tumble dryer at least once a day etc.Thats with E-on.
