I'm sure this is a daft question to those who know the answer :-? but I otta ask....

The bottom of the board index were it says 'registered users on line' I keep seeing google [bot] and yahoo [bot] etc!

What are they? Who are they? They're not proper people are they?

I dont get it!!!! Sorry if I'm being thick!!! :oops:

I think they are Search engines automatically keeping tabs on the site, Pigglet.

That's how they know it is here, so when someone types "Problem Pages" into Google, Google knows where we are. :D

They're just bots like snail said monitoring Problem Pages so that it can be sent up to the top of the list (or closer to the top of the list) when you search for it in Google. It's called search engine optimization, and is often used by companies to help advertise their websites :)
