grey box when quoting

Postby Bel Bel » Thu Jan 15, 2009 4:00 pm

when replying to a post how do you get the grey box to appear when you quoting someone
I usually click the quote button and then edit out what i don't want but i never get a grey box, what am i doing wrong and is ther an easy way just to quote a sentence from someones post rather than my editting way

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Who knows? Hopefully, one of the more technically minded mods will be able to help, Bel Bel.

Thicky Pwif signing off.

edit: Bel Bel, I've just replied to another of your posts, and pressed the quote box, and it comes up grey. Do you have that option?? (This modern technology is doing my head in #-o )

Hi,"Bel Bel" :)

When you quote with the button, please make sure that you include the "slash" in the lower box ie put your quote
between these brackets

Also........

If you select the text you wish to copy,& do a copy & paste, you'll not have to edit. :D

Lol. Don't 'worry, Bel Bel. Even if you do something all day every day, sometimes you forget to apply it to other things... (Probably doesn't make sense, I know, but I know what I mean.)
