Absolutely snail - crazy how your life priorities change, but at the time it was so important.snail wrote:I think the main thing that strikes me is how I was often intensely preoccupied about something - a relationship, a work situation - that didn't last and wasn't really that important. I wish I'd kept in mind at the time that it might not turn out to be as important as I thought it was.

Good to see you, Spacegirl
Yes, that's still something I try to remind myself of now.
It's really useful that the site with all the people's posts on is here - if it really were someone's own personal diary they would probably have deleted it all!

Odd that I should find this post on the day I decide to come back to PP! My most active post was when my ex finished our relationship in 2012. Yikes was I over the top about that. What a waste of energy that was! I'm kinda tempted to re read it but I know I'll just end up cringing into next year!
Go to Glasgow at least once in your life and have a roll and square sliced sausage and a cup of tea. When you feel the tea coursing over your spice-singed tongue, you'll know what I mean when I say:

Avoiding it like the plague...
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
