Bump.
On Sunday, I went to John Lewis to get some rechargeable batteries for a DAB radio I was buying for hubby for Christmas. The queue was miles long to get into the store. Apparently, this weekend just gone was supposed to be the start of manic present buying for Christmas.
So, post here if you've looking for ideas for a present for the special person/people in your life.
Also post if you've got ideas for good presents which might help other PPers.
21 days until Christmas.

I have bought my fiancee a remote controlled tarantula from the Hawkins Baazar website (as well as other things!) Just thought it would be funny!

They sell it in a shop in MK. Pretty cool but I hate spiders.

Anyway, I need to get presents for my nephews and nieces, but I have absolutely no idea what to get them - I have 2 nephews, aged 13 and 9, and 3 nieces, aged 2, 10 and 14. I normally get them selection boxes, but I think they're now getting a bit old for that, especially the older 2, but I don't know what they're into, or what kids those ages would be into....
Can anyone help???

If you hate insects the gadget shop do an elctronic tennis racket that kills them on contact
Also great if you hate spiders because it doesn't kill them but stuns them long enough for you to get rid of them
Another good one for people who like puzzles are those new 3d ones - amazon have a good selection
Fingers on buzzer is a great game for over christmas, get from play.com for the best price (at the moment anyway). Ebay were well over priced for this last week. You get four mini remotes to answer the questions with that come up on your Tv. Need a DVD for the disc.

Well gift vouchers are always a good idea for older kids. They can buy what they want then. Boots and New Look for girls. Even if it's not their favorite stores they will always find something they like in their.
Debenhams has some great cheap gift ideas this year. (if you have one near you)
Toys R Us is great for younger kids. There is a Tigger (Winnie the pooh) that does handstands and jumps up and down. I got one for my niece age 2 for her birthday a few weeks back and she LOVES it. Might be a bit pricey though, think it was £20
Do the 9 and 10 year old have any consoles because you could get them games vouchers for a game shop so they can put towards there next game. I usually buy older games they haven't had becasue then they are much cheaper. You can pick many up for a fiver.

So sorry to hear that PurePurple. You sound like a really thoughtful girlfriend, trying to get him something unusual for Xmas, so he probably didn't deserve you.

It's my friend's birthday on the 26th December. I can't think of anything to give him! He's 16 by the way. Suggestions quick!

He isnt a jewelry kind of guy and i dont wanna get him something boring like a tie pin or cufflinks. Im totally stuck.
