My friends boyfriend....

Post by ___Mey___ » Mon Nov 24, 2008 1:08 pm

Hi!

Last week we've got a party at a friend's house. Her parents were out so she invited us to go. My best friend didn't go becouse she was at her grandmother's house. So I went to the party with her boyfriend and some friends. We drank some beers and alcohol. I don't know how, he gave me a kiss. And we passed all night giving kisses to each other. But now, I don't know what to do... Do I have to tell everything to my best friend? I'm really worried...Help please!

I think you and her bf should tell your best friend something. Imagine if she finds out from other people at the party; it would be better to come from the two of you than someone else.

I completely disagree. She will probably be really hurt, but not as much as if she found out from someone else later on. Honesty is always the best policy.

Well, once i did something simular with a friends bf, and i didnt tell her, one of my 'friends' ended up telling her
she wasnt too mad, but at the time she was really upset

how would you feel if someone at the party told your friend, instead of you, if it was the other way around, how would you like to find out?

think about it, if you keep it, she will probably find out,
and she's more likely to forgive you if she knows you care about her enough to tell the truth

I agree with "Aligator"

What your best friend doesn't know, she'll never miss. This is NOT deceit on your part.
Saying something about this would destroy so many lives..... :(

Morris Mouse is right.

I try to be as honest as I possibly can. But now and then some things are better off not being known. Sometimes lies are necessary to protect people and to protect their feelings.

I disagree with most of the others. i think you should tell her. Yes, he kissed you first, but you said you spent the rest of the night kissing him, so you BOTH betrayed her. These things have a habit of getting out eventually and it'll hurt a lot less for her if you have the courtesy to tell her what happened, rather than her finding out through the grapevine.

I think you and her boyfriend should both tell her. Although there's a chance she'd never find out, these things usually get around most of the time. She would be more hurt if she found out from somebody else. Were both of you drunk anyway at that time?

I think it IS a good idea to tell her.
Sooner rather than later. The later you leave it, the worse she'll feel.
She may even see you're honesty as proof that you didnt want to hurt her.
Thats the way I see it, anyway.

First of all, you need to tell your friend what happened. Understand that she might not want to be friends again. Alcohol or no alcohol, you betrayed your friend and she could find it hard to trust you again. The main thing to do is apoligise sincerely, then leave it up to her. Hopefully, You'll know not to do something like this again. As for the boy, he's obviously no good for any of you.
