Re: Heart Broken Friend - Advice

PS: I'd appreciate quickish responses if at all possible as I need to purchase this offer (if I do) by the end of the day! Thanks :)

Re: Heart Broken Friend - Advice

Further to my previous message, my friend saw her ex last night and he just reiterated that his heart isn’t in it anymore, so I think that the sad reality of the situation is starting to sink in L There’s an offer on at the moment at a lovely old hall nearby for afternoon tea for 2, with a glass of ...

Re: Tips for getting over a break up

I think trying to keep things in perspective and being determined to stay strong can help. Sounds silly and this is quite a personal one, but I never had a chance to get to know my Grandmother, but by all accounts she was a strong character and very admired by everyone. When my Granddad died, she wa...

I know EXACTLY what you mean about the clothing thing. A new outfit always makes me feel more confident!

What a shame for them :(

Re: Thank Crunchie It's Friday..

That sounds like a fun weekend! What are you doing with date guy? My fiance and I are going to a nice Italian for lunch tomorrow with my parents, my Uncle and Aunt and some family friends to celebrate my parent's 40th wedding anniversary. The plan is to have starters and mains and then have desserts...

Heart Broken Friend - Advice

My friend’s boyfriend of nearly six years broke up with her on Monday night. She has lived with him for the last four and half years, so obviously it’s a life changing decision that he’s made. She is completely heart broken and is obviously struggling to come to terms with his decision. In a nutshel...

Re: Difficult Time

I really think you need to let go of this whole gift situation. I don't mean to be harsh, but it doesn't sound like you'll be receiving anything at any point in the future so let it go. I would suggest you completely cut contact with this guy too. The contact you're having with him isn't doing you a...

Yeh, it is starting to feel a bit more real and exciting now Captain. Starting to get a bit nervous about whether we've thought of everything we should have done up to this point... it's hard to know when you've never done it before! We never did get around to picking out the songs Rufio, need to do...

Re: Devestation

Just wanted to add that the fact you're now feeling a bit angry with him will hopefully help see you through this difficult time. His behaviour should make you angry, and I hope that you are at least starting to see that perhaps he's not as great as you originally thought he was. That should make it...

Re: Separation, housing and children

PS: I am assuming you don't have a tenancy agreement in place and this arrangement was only reached verbally? Obviously if you did have a tenancy agreement, he could only ask you to leave in the timeframe spelt out in there.

Re: Separation, housing and children

You'd be best of seeking legal advice on this one, as unless one of the forum members is a solicitor and/or has been through something similar, it's going to be hard to give you comprehensive advice. I would imagine even if someone else has been in a similar position, every case is slightly differen...

You must quite like him if you're hoping for a second date :) Fingers crossed! Yeh, wedding is on 29th August so not that long now. I am trying to chip away at the plans and do little things most days. Tonights task is to look through the song list for our string quartet and decide what we would lik...

Re: Im finding my friend hard to handle

Hi Seren, I don't think you're being unreasonable, I also find it rude/annoying when people do nothing but talk about themselves and never think to ask how you are etc. It's bad manners for one thing, and also makes you feel like they don't care much about how things are in your life. I have a frien...
